The New Jersey Law Discrimination protects an employee from discrimination based on race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion and age. A whistleblower is an employee who reports, or threatens to report, or objects to, the unlawful activities of their employer.An employer may not retaliate against an employee for being a whistleblower. What this means is that an employer may not fire, demote, or harass you, may not reduce your pay or work hours, or changes the terms and conditions of your employment in retaliation to your whistleblowing activities.
